1.) Cherry Delight is an old-fashioned dessert (my favorite kind) that has been around for decades, and this is my version of the classic recipe. A buttery graham cracker crust, a smooth cream cheese mixture, and cherry pie filling come together for the perfect sweet treat. It’s easy to make, wonderfully creamy, and great for any occasion.

2.) Featured section in my Amazon shop: Modern Farmhouse.

3.) FAVORITE QUOTE: “Be a curator of your life. Slowly cut things out until you’re left only with what you love, with what’s necessary, with what makes you happy.”
~Leo Babauta

9. CULINARY CORNER: Lemon Poppyseed Loaf: Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease two 9×5-inch loaf pans. In the large bowl of a stand mixer (or hand mixer), add 3 cups all-purpose flour, 1 ½ teaspoons salt, and 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder. Mix on low to combine. Add 3 large eggs, 1 ½ cups milk, 1 ⅛ cups vegetable oil, 2 ¼ cups sugar, 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract, 1 ½ teaspoons almond extract, and 1 ½ teaspoons butter extract. Mix on medium speed for 2-3 minutes. Gently fold in 1 ½ tablespoons poppyseeds. Pour batter evenly into prepared pans. Bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out clean. While the bread bakes, mix ¾ cup sugar, ¼ cup orange juice, ½ teaspoon almond extract, ½ teaspoon vanilla extract, and ½ teaspoon butter extract in a small bowl for the glaze. When the loaves come out of the oven, pour the glaze evenly over both while warm. Let cool in pans for 30 minutes before removing. For best flavor, wrap loaves and freeze for 24 hours before serving.

10. THE LAST WORD: Today is the first day of Lent, a season of preparation for Resurrection Day. It begins with Ash Wednesday (today) and ends on Easter Sunday. Find out more about this beautiful season of reflection and renewal HERE.

ANSWER TO #7: March has two birthstones: an aquamarine and a bloodstone. And two flowers: daffodils and jonquils. March and June always end on the same day of the week. Now you know!

Always look forward to your WWW’s! One comment is that when I click on Designthusiasm’s Amazon picks, they don’t seem to have updated since January..they are showing as the same winter decor items..Just wanted to let you know!

  2. I look forward to Wednesday’s wishlist each week! But ladies the adds have become unbearable . I often go to click on something and an add pops up and as I click it hits the add. As I’m typing this an add is popping up and I can’t even see what I’m typing. Sorry for any errors .

  3. I’m hoping you can tell me where you found the large blue and white coffee cup that was displayed in a recent post. I believe you used it as a planter for spring flowers. I decorate with a lot of blue and white and would like to recreate this look in my home. Thank you!

    1. Hi Beckie, the cup is from Ralph Lauren and I found it at HomeGoods many years ago. Sorry, I do not have a source.
