Welcome To Home Style Saturday #442

Tomorrow is the start of Daylight Savings Time, and I think it should be a national holiday! I love the gift of longer evening. More time to enjoy the golden glow of late afternoon and evening. I feel much for productive and enjoy spending time outside. From now until mid-April, we’ll gain about three extra minutes of evening light each day, and after that, we’ll gain about two minutes daily until the summer solstice. And with those extra hours of daylight comes something just as wonderful: warmer weather! Spring is knocking at the door, so let’s celebrate every minute of the longer lit hours in our days!

Irish soda bread slices

Irish Soda Bread is a quick bread that is very easy to make because it uses no yeast. Buttermilk and baking soda give this bread its rise and a delicious flavor. Classic Irish Soda Bread is the perfect way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day or any day of the year!

Easter vignette with decoupaged Easter eggs

Here’s a fun Chinoiserie style Easter egg craft that I hope will inspire you today! Decoupage faux Easter eggs with blue and white napkins for a beautiful effect that will last for years. I was inspired to do this project by my friend, Yvonne, at StoneGable who blogged about it and I’ve seen many other bloggers do a similar decoupage project as well. We will all still be celebrating Easter this year, it just might look different than it normally does. I think these eggs are a fun way to celebrate the season.

Happy Saturday, friends!
