I am having trouble remembering how I staged my dining table last spring! One time I read the suggestion somewhere that we should take a photo of a tablescape and other decor to keep for next year. I may do that this year. I do have around 10 wreaths that I rotate throughout the year – some I have made myself, others I have purchased. I am already thinking of the outside of our home. For the first time ever we are having our lawn mowed this year by a landscaper. We have always had our flowering trees pruned early each spring, and I just today contacted the tree service for that. We will also be having our home exterior and windows washed after the spring/early summer pollen season passes. We are looking at paint samples to select a new color for the front door. As far as the inside goes, I always use the first 3 months of every year to purchase new items that we need. I installed new comb blinds in the bedrooms myself. I also refreshed the bedding in the primary bedroom. Next up is a refresh of our powder room. I think these smaller updates really make a difference in our home.

Hi Yvonne, just an update on the pansies in the brass bowl, they are still blooming, and giving a much needed shot of spring cheer, on a rainy Sunday. I love your idea, and when the pansies, go I’ll find something else to plant for summer…have a lovely Sunday..tomorrow 1st day of spring!!!

You inspired me with the pansies in the footed bowl. I took your cue , using a brass lattice work bowl. I purchased some moss sheets, lined the bowl, placed another bowl within the bowl and planted white pansies, covered with moss. I have it on my ottoman in a brass tray. Love the springtime look, since right now it is rainy, stormy and freezing here in the SF Bay Area. The unexpected snow makes our area lovely especially in Napa and Sonoma…Have a great week….
