My Fall Wreath Story
I’ve been making new fall front door decor for decades! It is a fun ritual and part of the beginning of the autumn season for me. Over the years, I’ve come up with a few recipes for creating wreaths so I can easily make the same wreath in different ways over and over again.
Since I started blogging (15 years ago on September 20th), I’ve made lots of wreaths to use as pretty door decorations for all seasons and Christmas to share with you!

Beautiful Leaf Garland Wreath, Anyone, Can Make
I think this is my favorite fall wreath. First, I love the abundant fall leaves; second, it is so easy to make!
I just can’t sing the praises of this pretty and easy fall wreath enough! You can make this fall leaf-filled wreath even if you are not crafty! I bought an inexpensive fall leaf garland and wound it around a grapevine wreath, and voila, a fall wreath!

Brambly Fall Front Door Basket
I call this front door basket “brambly,” which is code for messy! Fall is a great time to make something wild, bold, and filled with great fall elements! It reminds me of the brambles that dot the countryside in the fall.
I made this fall front door basket in about five minutes. It’s disheveled and a beautiful mess, but it looks fabulous on our front door! It is an homage to the untamed nature of autumn!
I have gotten so many compliments on this front door basket! This is a must-make!

Bittersweet Wreath With Window Pane Bow
I’m so fond of bittersweet! It can be found here in Lancaster County. It is considered an invasive plant, and we cannot grow it by law. However, it can grow along hedgerows and in areas near woodland. So, I had to use the faux version on a fall wreath. Are you a fan of fall bittersweet?
This bittersweet wreath is another super easy wreath to make. So, if you have never made a wreath before or don’t think you are crafty… YOU CAN DO THIS! It will take you less than 30 minutes to complete, and you will have a gorgeous fall wreath for your front door!

Indian Corn Wreath
If I had to pick the most popular wreath, it would be this Indian Corn Wreath! This fall wreath has been pinned the most out of all the fall wreaths I’m featuring today. It is just such a show-stopper! And believe it or not, it is very easy to make. It’s just a matter of gluing the mini Indian corn onto a straw wreath form.

I am continuing to use your idea of basket on my front door. Just switched out the hydrangea and lily arrangement for a pretty bunch of sunflowers. Looks great. I will probably have a wreath for fall but for now a basket is perfect for transitioning from one season to the next.

Hi Yvonne! Do you disassemble your wreaths after each season and just re-use the wreath/fauxs from season to season in different ways? Or do you make them, store them assembled and use them over and over? I stopped making wreaths quite a while ago and just look for good deals on ready made at season’s end. But this has inspired me to make something! I’ve finally gotten to where I can make a decent bow!
Hi Carol, I usually disassemble the wreaths and put the pieces into clear boxes. I hang the double grapevine wreath on a hook in the basement. I did not take apart the corn wreath. Hope this helps.

Good Morning,,, love the wreaths, especially the basket and the bittersweet, I have several that I keep in rotation…It’s hard to change out decor when the temps are still in the high 90’s…….but fall is my favorite time…maybe next week, temps are supposed to fall a bit, I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, we have so many micro-climates…..I was reading the comments, I keep my wreaths in wreath boxes..I don’t disassemble..looking forward to Fall……
