ON THE MENU #221
Need some fresh meal ideas? This On The Menu for the fourth week of March is packed with 31 simple and tasty recipes your family will love. From quick weeknight dinners to comforting favorites, there’s something for everyone.
One of the best parts of having a meal plan is being able to organize my grocery list as I plan out dinners for the week. We only have one grocery service available, and while we do have to pick up our orders in-store, it still saves so much time and effort. Plus, having all the right ingredients on hand makes it so much easier to stick to cooking at home.
There are plenty of delicious recipes on the menu this week!
We love soup. And we especially love soup that is hearty enough to be a meal! And I love love love soup that is made in the slow cooker!
l usually have most of the ingredients for this delicious soup from Salt And Lavender in my pantry and freezer. I think I’ll try using frozen spinach in this soup because I already have it. Thanks, Natasha for this scrumptious recipe.
Leftovers will make yummy lunches. In her recipe, Natasha says to add some chicken broth to the soup if eating it as leftovers because the tortellini’s soak up the broth. Great tip, right. I might also add some spaghetti sauce too!

It’s grilling time! We grill a lot! Tonight’s easy chicken recipe is from Tricia at Saving Room For Dessert. Actually, all the recipes for tonight are from Tricia!
Tonight’s dinner is quintessential Greek food. And we all love these glorious Mediterranean flavors! Head over to Saving Room For Dessert for a Greek Party Menu! YUM!
I’m very excited to try Tricia’s pita bread recipe. I made pita bread a long time ago and it was so delicious! So I can’t wait to try my hand and oven at this recipe.

Wednesday’s are a bit less harried for me so I love to make something fun for dinner. I keep puff pastry in the freezer so all I have to do is pull it out the night before and refrigerate it. And then it’s ready to use!
Aren’t these little savory galettes just so pretty? They are from Alex at It’s Not Complicated.
As you probably know I am a huge fan of puff pastry! It’s so versatile and delicious!

I’ve loved salmon cakes since I was a child. But these salmon cakes are so much easier and (sorry Mom) so much tastier than the salmon cakes from my childhood. An Air Fryer is a wonderful thing! If you don’t have one, seriously think about getting one. They make the cakes crisp on the outside and soft and delicious on the in!
If you make one thing this week, make the Salmon Cakes!

Have you ever had Lavash bread? It’s a really delicious bread that gets crisp when it is baked and it makes a perfect foil for yummy ingredients.
Isn’t this the prettiest pizza you have ever seen? This gorgeous recipe comes from Ingrid at The Cozy Apron.
I can’t wait to make this. Friday is Pizza and a movie night. I love having the family over for dinner and a movie night. Emma Kate and I are going to watch the animated movie SING (for the 100th time).

I’m so excited to make tonight’s menu. This flat iron steak looks amazing!

This recipe is such a favorite here at StoneGable. It’s WW friendly, easy to make and has all those yummy Tex-Mex flavors we adore.
I make a vat of it and freeze leftovers for lunches and dinners.
If you have not tried this recipe I hope you will this week. I’m sure it will be a favorite of yours too.

My dear friend, Ann from On Sutton Place, has the most wonderful blog and recipes! And I’m so looking forward to her Strawberry Icebox cake.
Have you ever made an icebox cake? They are delicious. My mother-in-law made one when we visited her shortly after Bobby and I were married. It was so good! I have never forgotten my first bit of icebox cake. She gave me the recipe for a chocolate icebox cake and I’ve served it for 40 years. I was just a child when Bobby married me!
Strawberries will soon be in season here and we are getting very sweet ones from the South. So I’m making this yummy recipe for lots of family on Friday.
