Do you watch Chopped? I’m obsessed with it. I would hate the pressure and the tricky food, but I love the competition and creativity. I have the cooking channel in the background when making dinner or cleaning! Now, if only I could acquire some of those unbelievable culinary skills through osmosis! Here’s what’s on the menu this week…

MONDAY

Our favorite soup these days is Sausage And Spinach Tortellini Soup! It is so delicious and so easy to make. What a winning combination- tortellini, Italian sausage, and spinach swimming in a creamy tomato base. This soup is so hearty and filling! If you make one thing this week, give this soup a try.

This soup tastes best with a big slice of bread slathered with butter or dipped in herbed olive oil. I’m making the easiest bread ever! Butter Topped Beer Bread is another super easy recipe with lots of yummy flavors!

TORTELLINI SOUP

TUESDAY

As a little girl, I lived across the pond, and really good fish and chips became part of my way of life. Nowadays, I don’t enjoy this old favorite as often as I did, but once in a while, fish and chips bring back all those wonderful memories of being a girl living in Scotland and England.

This beautiful recipe is from Lovefoodies.

WEDNESDAY- COMPANY’S COMING

A ribeye steak is hands down the best steak you can eat. And I’m not sure why people think it is so hard to make. Steak done right is not only easy but so so sexy!!!!

This is an encore recipe, as we had it last week, and it was scrumptious.

THURSDAY

I’m into bowls lately. A fun way to eat everything together. I adore Maple Soy sauce in the salmon recipe!

FRIDAY

Have you tried Grandma Lo Bianco’s famous Italian meatballs yet? They are easy and just so delicious. My friend Fran gave me the recipe after she served them for dinner, and I loved them. If you make this recipe, it comes with a warning! So make them knowing you may not get into heaven!

SATURDAY

The flavor profile of this salad is in my wheelhouse. What a great healthy dinner! I’ll be adding anchovies.

SUNDAY

Parmesan crusted chicken should be in everyone’s recipe box. It is so easy to make and goes with so much. And did I mention it is so tasty?

TREAT OF THE WEEK

Oh, I love a good white cake. And this one is gorgeous! Once in a blue moon, I will actually bake a cake. I can’t wait!
